Carlo Acutis

The first millennial saint - a quiz, a life-story puzzle, good-deed missions

How the board is built

Three zones, one story.

The whole board is divided into three sections that lead a child from getting to know the saint, through his life story, to their own good deeds. Each zone is a different kind of play - a quiz, a puzzle and active tasks.

Zone 1 - Quiz: what is Carlo the patron of?

The first section is a quiz in which children discover who Carlo was and what he became the patron of. They work through the questions one by one, and the letters from the correct answers spell out a phrase - a reward for paying attention.

Sample questions
  • What was the theme of the website created by Carlo?
  • Who died when Carlo was 4 years old?
  • Where was Carlo born?
  • Who told Carlo about the last things of man and about prayer?

Zone 2 - Put the events of Carlo's life in order

In the second section, children arrange the pictures in the right order - from his earliest years to the moment Carlo was declared a saint. In this way they get to know the most important moments of his life and learn chronology.

Events from his life story
  • Born on 3 May 1991 in London
  • Received his First Communion at the age of 7
  • Created a website about Eucharistic miracles
  • Died on 12 October 2006
  • Beatified on 10 October 2020
  • Canonised as a saint in 2025

Zone 3 - Active tasks and good-deed missions

The third section is a set of active tasks, search games and good-deed missions. "Leap into goodness", "Miracle tracker", searching for Cleo the cat on the board - all so that children feel that it is good to be good to others, and learn to value it.

What you'll find in this zone
  • Leap into goodness - how many good deeds in 15 seconds?
  • Miracle tracker - notice the beauty around you
  • Search game - find Cleo the cat hidden on the board
  • Good-deed missions and values: kindness, friendship, care for nature

Why it's worth it

Six reasons to choose the board about Carlo.

A saint children can relate to

Carlo was a teenager of our times - he loved games, computers and friends. Children identify with him easily and see that holiness is for them too.

Three kinds of play

A quiz, a puzzle and active tasks - different forms of activity in one board. A child never gets bored, because each zone engages in a different way.

Good-deed missions

The board doesn't only teach about the saint - it invites action. Children learn that it is good to be good to others, and carry that into everyday life.

Movement in the fresh air

Active tasks mean children learn on the move, not at a desk. Religious formation comes together with physical activity outdoors.

Safety and durability

A solid construction with full-colour graphics, resistant to the weather. An investment for many years.

Support for catechists

A perfect complement to religion lessons and formation meetings. A ready teaching aid about a saint who is close to today's young people.

Where it works

Four contexts, one product.

By churches and communities A patron of the young draws children and teenagers onto the church grounds after the service.
In faith schools and kindergartens A contemporary saint as a living topic for religion lessons and upbringing.
In retreat and pilgrimage centres Ideal for youth groups - Carlo is the patron of the internet generation.
In day rooms and care centres Good-deed missions are a great support for working with children and young people.
